The HAPPS trackballs and spinners will interface directly into the Hagstrom encoders (KE72T and ME4).

They may in the near future also interface seamlessly with the Optipac.

So, don't buy the $110 spinner just to trash the electronics. Either use a compatible interface or order one of my DIY spinner kits.

: Greetings all,

: I'm going to be building an arcade cabinet, and am taking my time, reading everything I can, learning from everyone else's mistakes/successes to build the perfect cabinet (for me that is). When I first used MAME I was blown away, being a 32-year old ex-arcade junkie. I can remember having a special "arcade fund" in my budget when I was younger. Sad, huh? heh. I knew after using mame I had to somehow build an arcade cabinet, thinking I was crazy and obsessive, but determined. It was only then that I discovered this whole Emulation/Cabinet sub-culture of obsessed lunatics like myself. Thank god for you people!

: Anyway, to the meat of the matter. I'm planning on purchasing one of Happs Arcanoid style spinners. From that point I need only to disect a mouse circuit board and attach it to the wheel, correct?

:
: Thanks!

: - Cryo
