I have a PCI SB card. Off hand I can't tell you which one it is. My motherboard has onboard sound that wouldn't work in straight DOS. I had to disable that in the BIOS.

I got a SB PCI card (I tried a LIVE but that's not what I have working now) Somewhere on the CD that came with it there was a set of drivers for DOS and a program called SBINIT which is used to initialize the card.

I was having all kinds of problems getting it to work correctly. What I finally found out is I had to go into the BIOs settings. There was an option for what kind of OS you were running WIN98, WIN95, other. It must have to do with how the card is configured at boot time. I had to switch it to OTHER to get it to work.

I'll check out my card and see what I have. I think it is either the PCI128 card or the PCI64.
It was extremely difficult to get it to work, that's all I remember.
