It might be your video card. A similar thing happend to me when I tried to use a Voodoo but my ATI card works with no problems.

: OK heres my problem: I am setting up my arcade cabinet with MS-Dos 6.22 (it worked just fine with a win 98 setup), clean install nothing but MS-DOS, MAMW v.37b8, ArcadeOS 2.40, and cwsdpmi. MAME works fine by its self. and ArcadeOS will load but when you exit a game the screan goes black and "bad command or file name" repeats untill you reset. Tried everything I can think of reformat HD, tried older versions of MAME and ArcadeOS, re-downloaed everything. It does the same thing in a Win 98 dos box also. I'm not even loading sound drivers. (but I tried that also). I am completly lost. P.S. ArcadeOS does not work on my PC anymore eather, It just locks in a dos box at the Arc32 box. If you try to close it it resets the computer. If you re-install it hangs at the "generating MAME information lists" screen. Double lost???!??
