Unless, you like neck problems, I'd look at advanced mame. Wider support of video modes & cards. Including running vertical games on a horizontal monitor. As of this moment, it's a release behind but that should be fixed shortly.

: Hi,

: I'm setting up a MAME cab with arcadeOS as the front-end. Over the past couple of days, I've learned a load of info on getting it to work with an arcade monitor, but I still haven't got any V-games working horizontally-orientated, or vice-versa. MAME seems to pick out a screen mode that I haven't tweaked and uses that instead of one of my tweaked modes. Result - unusable display due to a load of image skew and instability.

: This is a particular problem as I've got a non-rotatable vertical monitor in my cab, so any H-orinentated games (720 and Defender for example) can only be played while looking at a smiley :-)

: Has anyone out there got H-orientated games working on a vertical monitor? Any advice greatly appreciated.

: Jas.
