Bass Shakers like what xiaou2 is talking about are awesome. I have them installed on my theater seats in my home theater. They add a whole new effect to whatever they are hooked up to. Now, not only can you hear the bass, but you can feel it. Very cool...
There are places selling them for less than $60, in fact some places will sell you just the shaker and no amp for aroun $10 a piece. Anyone with a little tinkering could hook those bad boys up to an exsisting power amp. Be aware that they are 4 Ohm (like for your car), and not 8 Ohm like home speakers, but there are ways to tie 2 of them together to get 8 ohms very easily.
