: : I know in MAME, you can save a screenshot for each game, so that when you highlight the game on the menu, the game shot shows up. Why not use a custom image with game data at that point? That way, anybody who wants to have a looksee can, and those who don't can ignore it. A nice effect might be to save the screen shot image, fade it a bit, then overlay the game details over top.
