I didn't wait for my friend to come over an help me. I had a 3100 sitting atop my desk for months, and when I finally had time, I decided to "cabinet" it. Well, a slight bump against the metal bar of the desk while I was carrying it, and "hissssssss....".
Anyway, I feel for you. I never even got to experience mine, and I had it too long to try and return it or exchange it.
