I have not seen a happs joystick but the joysticks I use have a simular device. I would
say that the round actuator would only do 4-way and the square one would do the 8-way
If you can only get the joystick with the round 4-way I would just file the round
hole on the actuator to a square one to make it 8-way or just don't use the actuator at
all if that is possable.
