A little OT, but I would appreciate any advice...

A couple of months ago I ordered two Dynamo HS-4 cabs from a guy in Miami, FL. He finally sent them out last week and they arrived in Atlanta today. I used a common carrier to bring them from Atlanta to my door step (I don't have a pickup truck and renting a U-Haul is too expensive). Well the driver of the truck unloaded the first one (using a lift gate) with no problem. He loaded the second one onto the lift gate, pressed the down button, and down comes the cabinet. Unfortunately, the cabinet came down before the lift gate. In other words, it fell off. It hit the ground real hard. Hard enough that it broke the cabinet in two. The guy told me to write down what happened on the reciept (his copy and mine) and to call the manager in the morning. I've never had anything like this to happen to me before and I was sort of just standing there with a dumb look on my face. Anyway, the driver road off and left me with a really nice cab with a 25" monitor and a pile of wood with a (no doubt) broken 25" monitor. Anyway, my question is: Has anything like this ever happened to any of you? If so, what can I expect? Do you think the common carrier will deny that they dropped it? Any input would be greatly appreciated. The thought of losing $250 makes me very very VERY ill. And just to be sure, I've already taken pics of the broken cab. Here they are:

Hope these show okay.
