Hi, I saw your post on the 27" Princeton Monitor, I was just about to buy the Wells Garder U3100 RGB/VGA monitor, exactly why is the Princeton better? If its MORE crisp resolution than the 3100 (19"), wouldnt classic arcade games look too blocky, like they do on a regular PC monitor with scanlines turned off? I mainly want 100% Authentic Arcade experience in a monitor, plus the ability to use windows, albeit blurry windows, but still useable, I understood the WG 3100 is the BEST at this, and also does windows too. Let me know soon please, I need the monitor for my final piece of my mame cabinet. And at $1000.00, it is over twice what the WG3100 runs so please fill me in. Also, what is the EXACT measurement from left to right (not diagnal) of the Princeton 27"? I would hate to buy it and it wont fit in my 24" wide cabinet! :)
THANKS!
-James Widmark: Several people have pointed out the Princeton big-screen monitors, and after much consideration I broke down and bought the 27" XGA model.

: All I can say is... WOW!

: The display is incredible, the features awesome. At 27" it's nice and big, yet manages to be sharp enough to run at 1024x768 and still look damned cool for low res arcade games. (It destroys the WG u3100.) And the Dreamcast in VGA simply looks amazing on it! The beauty of this monitor is that is literally does everything and does it all well. I have my PC, Dreamcast, Playstation and Saturn all hooked up at once, and can flip thru them via the remote control! And there's still another input for RF. Plus there's both video and VGA out as well as sound out. Damn thing does every trick in the book. =) Did I mention the terrific built-in stereo speakers and subwoofer?

: My lifelong search for the perfect monitor (yes, it LOVES Advance MAME :) is at last over. Here's the link for those interested. And yes, this is truly the perfect display for you cabinet builders. Emus simply love this display - vertical games get the equivalent of a 20" screen, so every game looks nice and big.

: I bought mine via www.buy.com and had great service. The 32" model is more than $500 more, so I do think the 27" is the better buy (approx. $1000).

: I'm also quite broke now. ;) Anyone interested in buying my ArcadePC mini? Seriously, I haven't room for it and with this big screen I doubt I'll be going back to 19" anytime soon. The removable control panel works nicely with the Princeton though. :)
