The speed of your memory, whether 66 or 100 MHz won't give you noticable results. The big question here is how fast your front side bus is running. If your FSB is running 100 MHz, then yeah, you'd want to use 100 MHz memory to get optimal performance. But with the same bus, it's not a great idea to run 66 MHz memory although it would probably work.
