:Actually its quite simple, if you dont mind updating every beta. Its easier to stay up to date. A friend of mine here(JustMichael) has helped me figure out ClrMamePro(rom utility) to upgrade my roms every beta. I then just re write them to cdrw. I do this every beta, i'm always current with a new set of roms this way. Or you may only want to do this just every Final of MAME. Just store the updated sets on your harddrive until your ready to burn after each final release. I cant until I get a bigger harddrive, thats why I always store on cd(not to mention its more portable this way too)!!

I've been using my same CD with MAME ROMs for a year. Yeah, they get old! Fortunantly now, CDs are much cheaper to buy than they were a year ago.

: I am trying to get MAME to see the ROMs on my hard drive rather than CD if a game gets old. Anyone have any suggestions?
