It really sounds like a cracked or broken solder joint. Especially since it tends to do it more after the unit has warmed up. you can examine the solder joints and can tell a bad one -- they will have a very thin circle in the middle of the solder. if you don't want to examine them too closely, just reflow the solder. just touch them for 1/2 a second - just till it melts.

it may be a capacitor going bad, but i doubt it.
