I had the same problem, and asked the same question. The solution is easy.

: I'm having problems with mortal kombat 3 and WWF: wrestlemania where the volume is so quiet I can just make it out , even with arcadeos settings for volume of the games set to maximum volume, any ideas on how to correct this?
