: : I assume you are refferring to the 0.187" Female QD's for button microswitches. You are correct, Radio Shack does sell them, but their stores only sell the assortment type packs, and you may only get 4 or 5 of the ones you need. You could try Radio Shacks online ordering, and you might could track down what you need (online sells much more than stores). Another spot you could try, is Happ Controls (25 dollar minimum order). Plus, try Bob Roberts @ http://personal.msy.bellsouth.net/msy/b/o/bob147/

: : Those can be tricky to find if there isn't an electronics store, or a small independent hardware store that collects them. Stay away from the Radio Shack assortment packs.. they'll end up costing you a fortune.

: All Electronics has them at a nickel a piece or less depending on quantity. Their catalog number is 1150 for 18-22 AWG wire and 1250 for 14-16 AWG wire. All Electronics is also a good place to get wire, and a lot of other handy stuff. A link to their web site is below

: : : I tried all the major hardware stores Lowes,Home Depot, etc. All I could
: : : find are the 22 gauge ones and their to big. Radio Shack sells the only in small
: : : packages and with an assortment.

: As far as I know, 18-22 guage is as small as you can get. What guage wire are you using? The 14-16 guage ones are much bigger. Are you using a crimper to crimp the connector? I've had problems using pliers to do the crimping in the past, but using a crimper seems to give good result. If you are using less than 22 guage wire, you probably will want to tin the wire with solder to build it up a little to get a better connection.
