If your monitor has two sync connections use vertical and horizontal syncs separately. If your monitor has one sync pin, like Pacfan's, you need to wire the two syncs together.

: I just went through this. I had only one wire going from the Hsyc on the monitor and there was no wire attached to the Vsync at all. After twisting sync wires together and connecting them and playing with the horizontal and vertical timings the picture still was vertically rolling.
: I overcame the problem by adding a wire to the Vsync on the monitor and untwisting the Hsync and Vsync wires that came from the video card and connecting Hsync to Hsync and Vsync to Vsync and it worked. This is after I bought a 2nd 25" monitor because I thought the first was bad (now I have a spare). I think this twisting wires has confused alot of people trying to get there arcade monitors working.

: : : Hello:

: : : I took a monitor out of a Street Fighter II cabinet (actually it is a Tempest Cabinet Converted to a Street Fighter II), and this is what's happeining:
: : : First of all, there is only 1 sync wire. I have the Red, Green & Blue wires in. If I put in the Ground wire before putting in the sync, I get a scrambled picture. I have to put in the sync BEFORE the ground wire to get a readable picture (although it never stops scrolling). Ive tried both syncs (horizontal & vertical), different values 105,106,107... Oh - and I also have a 'pin cushon' screen (which was also evident on the original cabinet it was in.)

: : : How weird is this? I'm almost ready to toss this monitor...
