A general PC video hardvare FAQ s found at:

http://www.lmn.pub.ro/~byte/vidfaq/videofaq.html

And it has a link to a description of "Circuits for driving fixed frequency monitors" (sounds fun to me but I don't know if it is useful).

The link to the circuits is:

http://www.lmn.pub.ro/~byte/vidfaq/fixed.frequency.html

: Follow the link below:

: : : A fixed frequency monitor requires a fixed frequency video card.
: : : http://www.si87.com/
: : : http://www.mirage-mmc.com
: : : Those are two companies that make these. I have heard of people setting up normal video cards (matrox milliniums) at the right frequency in windows to one specific resolution, but everything will look wacky in dos mode. I have never had any luck using fixed frequency monitors on anything but fixed frequency cards.

: : I agree, most fixed frequency monitors are not made to work at low resolutions.
: : You will likely have trouble getting it to sync full screen at less than 640x480 w/o extra hardware.
