Thought I would chime in with a few words about pots. PC joysticks want pots with a range of 0 to 100 K (or 150 K). However, if you want good performance, you need to make sure you have the correct taper on the pot. Most pots sold at radio shack are audio taper, that is, they have an exponential resistance resonse to turning. This is not good for control. I was pretty much in the dark about taper issues until a few days ago. Anyway, pots with 'A' (like A100K) on them will work, but I think you'll do better with 'B' pots. 'A' pots are audio (exponential) and 'B' pots are linear taper. Linear response is what you want. I'm not sure if radio shack sells these, but you can find them at many online electronics sites.

This linear vs. exponential issue might be the problem with the Y axis. Still have to test this out.

Right now I'm away from home (and can't work on my star wars yoke) but as soon as I get back (1 week!), I'm going to star working on it again. I have some new parts which should straighten out this Y axis sensitivity issue, and when it's fixed I'll share the results with the group.
