My wg u3100 came with a power cord that plugged directly into the wall socket. Actually, I had to re-order the power cord becuase it does not come with the monitor. It is about $8 plus shipping. I have an extra one if you want, email me for it. NO, do not plug it into an isolation transformer. You can check the web page and it indicates that one is not required.
