: Well, not really. What I want to know is it better to go with wiring the trackball and spinner to the same KE72T and using a switch to toggle between which one to use? Or, would it be more desirable to have one run through the Happs USB interface and eliminate the need for the switch?

Neither. If you have a serial port open in the PC, use a serial interface and a keen device called the Y-mouse. This thing is just too cool. It actually auto switches to the device that is used. There is no danger to the system, and can be switched back and forth repeatedly and invisibly.

: My wife and kids may not feel comfortable with a switch and that's why I'm hesitant. But I'd also like to have this work with the DOS MAME which may not be an option if I go with a USB solution.

Same here, the Y-mouse eliminated both problems for me, the W&K don't have to think about the controls, and ot works in DOS & WIN.

Good luck.
