The preproduction model I had was also very blurry like the 3100. The big difference is that a u3100 has a scanline feel to it and the d9100 not.

: From the link you sent, the dot pitch on the 19" D9100 is 0.39mm. The dot pitch on the 19" U3100 is 0.71mm.

Have you tried -beam 2 on your u3100 for vector games. And increase the gamma.

: The larger dot pitch on the U3100 may give a more "authentic" arcade look. However, the fat dot pitch also means that high resolution games do not look that good.

: I've got a U3100 and I'm extremely pleased with it. It defintely has that authentic look to it. The only complaint I have is that vector games do not look that good because the lines are very thin and do not show up that well. I've never seen a D9100 in person so I cannot comment on it.
