I have had a d9100 for a short while. It was a demo version. It had some problems with distorted problems. I was not the only one because WG postponed the launch of the monitor. I did not know that they were shipping them now.

Ok back to the monitor. Mine had almost the same blurry look as a u3100. For raster games both were approx. as good. The one thing I liked better on the d9100 are vecor games because you can get higher resolutions on it with sharper lines. Not that authentic for color vector games but I did prefer it...

: Folks,

: After mulling around ideas for getting on 3 years now, I'm finally biting the bullet and 'refurbishing' a torn-up, beaten-to-the-pulp cabinet to run MAME and eventually JAMMA games too... However, a question I'd love for some input on before I throw my hard-earned cash at the monitor...

: I have decided basically for ease sake (and a fair compromise) to go with a WG VGA/SVGA or XGA monitor. Now I realize the JAMMA issues with such a beast and I'll confront those when needed. However, I'm torn between the new D9100 XGA monitor and the U3100. Both are available at 19" and both seem to provide a fair compromise between the authenticity of an arcade monitor and the 'PnP' ease of a standard PC monitor. Beyond that, I'm a little lost although the D9100 is cheaper AND provides a 'remote' set of controls and therefore I'm leaning in that direction...

: Any thoughts and experiences that would help me actually make my decision would be greatly appreciated.
