I cannot comment on the 9100. There was a thread about it months ago, but still never read where anyone got one.

I have the U3100 and it is wonderful. And, it has remote controls as well. The adjustment module is on a wiring harness that is about 2-3 feet long so you can mount it remotely.

The display is wonderful for all games that I've tried. My concern when I bought it was will most games show up full screen. The answer is YES for Horiz games. As for Vertical -- The black level of the monitor is great so you don't really notice the empty space on either side near as much.

If you have a real arcade cabinet, chances are that it will bolt in without any drilling. The mounting is done by 4 (1/4 " I think) bolts. The VGA cable is relatively short though - you will probably need an extension to reach your PC.

One problem that you will experience is getting power to the U3100. A cable is not supplied so you must make one. You basically have two options.

1. Buy the connector from Happs which fits exactly. Then crip it onto a power cord.

2. You can buy the pins only from Radio Shack. THen crimp them onto a power cord -- you'll be missing the plastic connector, but you can get it to work well if you use silicon to fill in the gaps between the pins. When it dries you have basically made a rubber connector. I used it like that for 2 months and no problems.

You *DO* need to use a strain relief with both the power cord and the VGA cable. The VGA comes with one already connected to the frame of the monitor but I highly recommend another since the cable & extension cable will be heavy.

So, to answer your question... You will not go wrong with the U3100. In fact, I've never heard anyone that didn't like their U3100.

Are ya sold yet?
