Hi,

I did build the PC to Jamma project including

Sound amp. and the printer switch.

Everything on one card. :-)

I think you should go for the Relay version and
use CMOS circuits to build with...

Remember there is a minor error of the pin config.

""" To use your cable in this project, simply cut the cable (leaving a good length attached to the male socket) then open up the socket and identify the wires you need:-

'Strobe' (pin 1)
'Data bit 7' (pin 9)
'Acknowledge' (pin 12)
'Busy' (pin 11)
'Ground' (pin 25)

"""

'Acknowledge' is PIN 11 not 12... :-)

: I have wanted to build the Arcadeos printer hardware project for a while but just now have gotten ready to take it on. I am wondering if anyone else has built it. Part of the problem is that Brian is not very specific on his page about a few of the parts. I emailed him and he just pulled his parts off an old pcb, but that the parts I have listed here should work. Below I have listed the part from Brians page and following it, the equivalent part from Radio Shack and its RSU or Catalog number. If anyone else has built this, their help would be greatly appreciated.
:
: BC237 Transistor - BC237B (RSU 11369063)
: 4510 BCD UP/Down Converter - 4510 (rsu 11516937)
: 7404 Hex inverter - 74HC04 (cat 900-3282)

: Let me know if you have any other information on this project.

: John
