Well, I'm no expert as I haven't got that feature, BUT my understanding is that the svideo out from your PC is incapable of hurting your TV. It simply ill not deliver any signals outside the standard TV range, so that should be no problem. However, I also understand that svideo outs are usually pretty limited in terms of what resolutions they can display and of course, the display quality could be poor.

Hopefully someone more experienced can give better answers though.

: I was thinking about using a 27" T.V. with s-video for my mame cabinet and I was wondering if there are any special settings that I need to do before I can hook it up to the t.v. I have an s-video card in my computer, but I don't want to damage the t.v. if I just hook it up. So can I just plug in the s-video cable to my t.v. or is there something else to do??
