I just received my encoder. It looks like the best $99 I'll spend this month. :)
Does anyone have any pics illustrating how they attached their controls to it? I'm looking for ideas/best practices.
From the manual, I still can't visualize the wiring. In a matrix setting, I'm imagining a birds nest of wires when several keys use the same row.
For example, with the following keys assigned (with no particular logic) in a simple 2 x 10 matrix:
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10
1 A C X J L P W
2 F G R I
Will I really have 7 wires traced back to the "1" pin (for keys A, C, X, J, L, P, W)? Turn that into a 2 X 22 matrix and, well, you get the idea...
