: There was a guy who purchased a 20" or 21" fixed
: frequency monitor (31.5kHz?)
: what are the pitfalls to using somehting like this?
Usually all the default VBE modes greather than
320x240 use horizontal rates different than the standard
31.5 kHz

: Will all games in MAME
: work for it?
With AdvanceMAME you can use all video
modes you want without problems.
With MAME you surely get in trouble because MAME
uses a wide range of horizontal frequencies. Also the
tweaked modes sometimes are at rates like
30, 32, 33 and they may don't work with fixed
frequencies monitors.

: Or do you need to use ARCADEOS to
: force all games to x freq?
ArcadeOS is able to force only the 15.75 rate,
so it doesn't help you.
