By default ArcadeOS does NOT do the 1+2=Esc thing. You must turn it on in the arcadeos.cfg file.
The line controlling it normally looks like:
start12esc=0
You must change it to:
start12esc=1
If you wish to push Start1 and Start2 for Esc.
