I cracked open a 5 1/2 FULL height drive. (why I still had it around I don't know) and I found a spinner just like you the left picture at that URL (but a much taller knob)
I'm going to try to find a way to mount it in my CP. Adding the mouse stuff should be easy if I can get it in the panel. I have a sit-down japanese game and the CP is a little tight.
The spin and balance is amazing ! (as it should be considering where it came from) Thanks for the tip.
BTW I posted a msg earlier about some spray on rubber/plastic. You might want to try that on your hot glue molded knob.
