I've spent lots of $$ and time learning to make a great spinner. Of course I have them for sale, but I'm happy to share info for those that like to do it yourself too.

What you are trying to achieve with the weight is inertia. This will keep the spinner going after you have let go of it, and you want a 'heavy' feel.

A knob will certainly work, but even the heaviest knob is not enough. What you can use is a flywheel like I have in my design. It is solid steel, 3/8" thick and heavy. So, get whatever knob feels good to you, and use a flywheel for the weight. Your results will be much better.

If you have trouble making/buying/stealing a flywheel, give me a shout and I can sell you one that I have for my spinners. They fit a 1/4" shaft.

: I keep on looking around for one, but I'd like to hear specific comments/links. I'm just looking for the knob head, all the circuitry is ready.
: Hopefully, planning to spend no more than $10.
