I just got my I-Pac a little over a month ago, so it is pretty new (1.8 on the chip). I was playing several 2 player games last night (Simpsons, X-Men, etc), and every time player 1 died, the other person, who was in a heated battle with a robot or goon, had to completely stop while I hit Player1 Start.

What is the fix or workaround for this?

: This was a "feature" of older versions of the I-PAC code. There were a number of restrictions I had to put on the "start 1" key to avoid the situation in which the shift and shifted keys were released in reverse orderthere might have been an incorrect "up-code" sent. So I disabled the shift key until no other keys were pressed to aviod this problem. Yes this does cause the problem with 2-player "press-to-continue" games where start1 has to be pressed in mid-game. I found another way around this in later versions so this situation does not occur.
: Yes I am back on 7th. Meanwhile as i write this I can just see the beach which beckons for another cold beer.....

: Andy
