It looks like an interesting way to do it, but I'm a bit clumpsy and prefer wood since it's easy to work with it. I don't know what do you mean with bolted (soldered?, sorry I'm spanish). But however I would like to see pictures of your work, it must have a very good look.
Back to the question, anyone out can tell me if they've used conglomerate and how good is it? Otherwise I'll have to fight with real wood.
