FreeStyle Pro USB not working properly under Mame32.

I've installed DirecX 7.0a and i'm playing with Mame32 v.36 (Final). I use 2 Sidewinder FreeStyle Pro USB Game-Pads with the latest Microsoft software drivers. My problem is that diagonal directions don't work at all. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
