Not entirely sure. A lot of it has to do with the driver software as you said. For a list of "current" compatible cards, go to www.mame.net then find a link to PC2JAMMA . On that site, there is a list of current vid cards that are supported. PC cards have to have the frequencies tweaked by the driver. So make sure your card will work before you spend a lot of coin on an arcade monitor. Otherwise, you could buy one of the cheaper cards listed, and throw another system together as an alternative. Unless I missed it, I don't think the GEForce will currently work. May be wrong though.
: ArcadeOS allows support for other programs besides mame right? So I assume either other applications provide methods to reduce scanrate in software to OR arcadeos does all the work and any program in dos will run at reduced scanrates. But I also thought Mame contained pieces of src to control output at reduced refresh rates...Im kind of confused.
: Iv got a GeForce2 GTS in a non-dedicated P3-800, and for obvious reasons dont want to replace it with a $30 card. Will ArcadeOS + some variety of mame let me play classics with this hot setup?
: Also, Win2000 is my primary os, is there any way to use software to reduce the scanrate in that for GeForce2?
: Im very confused im thinking, so set me straight!
