Awesome idea! I have my whole house setup with X10 and have extra Firecracker kit dongles that I am not using and 2 appliance modules and will try this myself. Can't believe I didn't think of it.
The only problem I have with it is I do get some on/off switching of stuff in my house from stray signals at least once a day and don't want my cab to turn on without me knowing. Mabybe I should invest in a whole house filter.
