: I ordered the trackball plate and 8 carriage bolts 2 weeks ago. I got a newly designed trackball plate that did not need carriage bolts. It has receiving posts welded to the bottom of the plate. The trackball slips over 4 of these posts and luckily I had some screws and washers that fit to hold the tracball onto the plate. The other 4 posts went through small holes I drilled into the wood control panel. If you order from HAPPs you might want to double check what style plate they will send you.
Funny you would mention that because I just got my new plate from Happs as well and it was the same style. Being the uneducated fool that I am, I have been trying to bang these posts out with a hammer! :) Now that I know they're supposed to be there, I'll leave them alone. Wonder why they'd switch style and not tell people.
Oh well, hope it works as well because it sure would be nice to have 4 fewer carriage bolts sticking through the CP.
