Joe, I just bought this coin door from Happ:
40-0038-00 - "Over/Under Door with Cashbox and Full Metal Enclosure". No additional hardware will be necessary for it. There's a microswitch mounted on the side by the coin mech (essentially the same kind of microswitch that would be with their buttons and joysticks) that gets "tripped" when a coin is inserted. Just wire that microswitch up to the MAME "coin register" button as you would anything else. That's it.
