Wiring up lights for coin door and Happ trackball

Hey all!

I'm starting the groundwork for Arcade Paradise II, and this one's going to have a Happ luminescent trackball and coin door. I understand that the lights are 12V, and that I can get 12V by using one of the yellow/black pairs on a PC's power supply, but how exactly did those of you who have done this do this?

I was thinking of just snipping and stripping one of the yellow/black pairs and then using the twisty wire connectors to connect it to a long pair of wires running to the lamps. Does anyone see a problem with doing this. Oh, and I'm *assuming* that it doesn't matter which prong on the lamp I use for the hot lead (the yellow wire) and which one I use for the ground (the black wire). Please correct me if I'm wrong!
