Hi Tom,

On my arcade monitor there was a wire going from the H Sync to the Jamma
connector.
It is a 6 pin connector with R, G, B, GND, H, V. No composite Sync pin.

The V Sync was not attached, it had no wire connected to it. I ran a
wire from the V Sync
on the monitor to pin 11 on the Jamma connector (which it normally +
audio pre out). The
pin 11 was not used on my connector and is hardly used by game boards.
If your connector
uses pin 11 (which I doubt) just solder it to another unused pin e.g.
pin 26. Then on my
Jamma edge connector I soldered the V Sync from the VGA lead to pin 11.

If you ever connect a Jamma game board in the future make sure that the
+ audio pre out
on pin 11 is not used. You can tell this by looking a the game board
pin 11 and it should
be a pad for the connector but no track leading to it. All game boards
I have seen use
pins 10 and L for speaker out for sound only.

Good Luck,

Ryan
: Thanks for your reply! So are you saying that your monitor has a composite sync as well as a separate H and V sync or was it originally set up with the JAMMA video sync wire going to the H sync and just the V sync was not attached? If the later is true, than I will definitely give it a whirl.
