try going to the tech dept link on the left, and looking at step-by-step guides for soldering and for hacking a PSX pad, the pictures might help you see whats going wrong.

: Are you heating up both the wire and the spot on the controller with the iron first before applying the solder? what type of material does it look like you are trying to solder to?
