It uses the gameport, 2 joysticks, 2 buttons each.
It uses MAMES joystick interface. It won't replace a keyboard encoder, but it would work for 1941/1943, Top Gunner, Twin Cobra, Joust, Gauntlet, or Ikari Warriors without the rotation control.
It's similar to daisy-chained Sidewinders but with cheaper joysticks.
